Radar System Engineer:

TXT e-Tech is looking for a Radar System Engineer to join our avionics radar design and development team. The successful candidate will contribute to the research, design, development, enhancement, and verification of radar detection capabilities, particularly for air-to-surface and other surveillance modes, with a specific focus on AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) antenna technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

Study, development, and enhancement of air-to-surface surveillance radar modes;

Drafting design documentation and technical specifications for the developed radar modes;

Design and implementation of radar simulators as design tools and for software verification data generation;

Laboratory integration and testing of developed radar modes, with results reporting;

Definition and formalization of requirements and test procedures, both in-lab and in-flight, for surveillance radars;

Setup of test benches and development of software tools for results analysis;

Execution and analysis of radar system testing campaigns and formal documentation drafting.

Required Technical Skills:

Solid knowledge of radar physics and operating principles, with focus on radar techniques and system architecture;

Understanding of radar signal processing algorithms;

Experience (including academic) in simulation and modeling with MATLAB, IDL and/or Python.

Optional Technical Skills:

Experience in defining validation and verification tests for radar sensors;

Previous involvement in avionics radar programs or development of radar sub-modules;

Experience in integration and testing of radar modes on avionics systems.

Education:

Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electronic Engineering (with specialization in signal processing or radar systems) or Aerospace Engineering (with avionics or remote sensing specialization) or Physics (focused on electromagnetic waves, remote sensing, or signal processing).

Good written English skills;

Strong team-working abilities;

Collaborative and interdisciplinary mindset.
