Senior Financial Planning Analyst
to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the
Global Planning & Control
Division.

Mission
The Senior Financial Planning Analyst supports the Global Financial Planning function by ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely financial reporting for the entire Group. This role contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities and provides analytical insights to guide business decisions and support senior management.

Key Accountabilities
Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare the Group Financial Reports on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all consolidated data.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and analyze key financial KPIs (revenue, margins, operating costs, cash flows), identify variances versus budget or forecast, and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Support timely corrective actions to optimize financial performance and results.
  • Prepare periodic reports with actionable insights to support data-driven management decisions.

Planning and Forecasting:

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes for Group P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and other financial KPIs.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Consolidated Financial Statements team to ensure proper alignment between reporting, accounting, and planning activities.

Financial Policy and Process Support:

  • Support the Global and Regional teams in implementing solid financial policies, internal controls, and forecasting practices across the organization.

Business Analysis and Modelling:

  • Develop business cases, scenario analyses, and financial models to support management decisions and strategic initiatives.

M&A and Special Projects:

  • Provide analytical and financial support for M&A transactions, investments, and other strategic or cross-functional projects.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, investors, and consultants to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Finance Management or Economics

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis; previous experience in a Big Four firm is considered a plus.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive team player able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with ERP and reporting systems.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
