We are seeking a Head of Payment Services (Responsabile Monetica - IMEL) with deep expertise in the financial services sector to lead technology and operational activities related to payment systems. The role requires strong technical and managerial skills to ensure operational excellence and business success.

Descrizione

  • Manage payment products both operationally and functionally (cards, wallets, payment accounts, transactional flows).
  • Oversee relationships with payment schemes, card networks, processors, issuing/acquiring partners, and technology vendors.
  • Ensure the correct execution of core IMEL processes: onboarding, KYC/KYB, authorizations, clearing & settlement, and chargebacks.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance (Bank of Italy, PSD2/PSD3, AML).
  • Support the development of new payment products and features, collaborating closely with Product and Technology teams.
  • Define functional and operational requirements for the evolution of the monetics platform.
  • Contribute to the alignment of internal processes with the standards and synergies of the reference payments ecosystem.
  • Monitor operational and business KPIs (volumes, costs, margins, service quality).

Profilo del Candidato

  • Experience in fintech, IMEL, EMI, or digital payments environments.
  • Solid understanding of digital payments architectures and operational fundamentals of a fintech institution.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on approach to operational topics, combined with a product-oriented, evolutionary mindset.
  • Ability to engage effectively with technical and regulatory partners.
  • Fluent Italian; professional-level English.
