BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB),
with just over 40,000 people in 52 locations serves, two types of clients – corporates and financial institutions (Banks, Insurance Companies, Asset Managers, etc.) – offering them tailored solutions in Capital Markets, Securities Services, Financing, Risk Management, Cash Management and Financial Advice. Acting as a bridge between corporate and institutional clients, CIB aims to connect the financing needs of our corporate clients with the investment needs of our institutional clientele.

Business Overview of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking – Corporate Coverage EMEA
Within CIB, Corporate Coverage EMEA is responsible for advising corporate clients and delivering an array of the firm's services across strategically targeted client groups in various business sectors.

In this context, the Coverage Analyst supports the Coverage Team in the management of relationships with large companies, with the aim of helping develop global relationships.

Primary Responsibilities
The Corporate Coverage Analyst plays a fundamental role within the Corporate Coverage business model by assuming a key role on three dimensions: a strong commercial focus, credit expertise and KYC.

On commercial side, the Coverage Analyst supports the Bankers in the preparation follow up of the Strategic Business Review and contributes to the development of the client relationship and profitability. He/she is also in charge of the Multinational Corporations (MNCs) coordination.

Regarding the credit analysis, the Coverage Analyst plays a fundamental role in the selection of the bank's assets, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the business model. His/her expertise and objectivity are critical in reaching the right credit decisions. He/she is responsible for monitoring the overall risks and credit process of a portfolio of Pilot Groups. He/She contributes to the Green light process and to the structuration of plain vanilla products / loan book transactions.

KYC activity is focused on the more added-value tasks by supporting Bankers in steering the KYC Strategy for their client portfolio.

What We Expect From You

  • Education: Degree in Finance and/or Economics and/or Accounting with a strong knowledge of financial analysis under several standards (IFRS, local)
  • Behavioral skills: Hight ethical standards, teamwork and analytical approach; proactivity and problem-solving attitude; ambition/learning curve and strong desire for achievement; responsiveness; excellent written and verbal communication skills; capability to work under tight deadlines, excellent time management and prioritization.
  • Technical skills: Fluent in Italian and English are compulsory, any European languages a plus; good knowledge of accounting, financial and valuation techniques; good numerical and analytical skills; good modelling skills.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Investment Banking, ideally successful current or experience in Coverage Sector.

Contract type and Remuneration
