Why This Role is Right for You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced IT Functional Analyst with solid expertise in electronic payment systems to join our IT organization. The successful candidate will have a strong technical academic background and at least 5 years of experience in banking or fintech environments. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, defining functional specifications, supporting both operational activities and project initiatives, close collaboration with business stakeholders, development teams and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of payment-related IT solutions. The candidate must be able to work effectively in English and collaborate with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and manage business requirements related to electronic payment systems.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for development, integration, and testing teams.
• Support operational activities, incident analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive project activities, including functional design, testing, and implementation support.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, risk, security, architecture) and external vendors.
• Conduct functional testing and support user acceptance test (UAT) processes.
• Ensure alignment with ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Participate in demand and portfolio management activities, supporting prioritization and planning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience as an IT Functional Analyst within banking and/or fintech IT departments.
• Strong understanding of electronic payment systems and related business/technical processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to conduct meetings, prepare documentation, and manage activities in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of monetics/card payment systems.
• Experience with credit risk and credit collection management applications (i.e. Norma).
• Familiarity with demand management and portfolio management processes.
• Experience with API-based integrations or service-oriented architectures is a plus.
• Understanding of Cloud Architecture and A.I. principles applied to back-office activities.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to payment services.
• Database/SQL skills
