Celeste is looking for a motivated Junior IT & Infrastructure Engineer to take responsibility for the company's internal IT systems, networks, and business software platforms, with strong opportunities for professional growth and increasing ownership.

As a technology startup, Celeste offers an environment where the successful candidate will not be limited to narrowly defined tasks, but will actively contribute to building, structuring, and evolving the company's IT foundations. While this is a junior position, it is designed for someone eager to learn quickly, take responsibility, and grow into a more senior or managerial role as the organization scales.

The role covers company networking, endpoint management, identity and access policies, SaaS platforms, and business applications. Guidance, external support when needed, and time for learning are part of the role, but the position requires autonomy, curiosity, and a hands-on mindset.

Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Networking

  • Operate, maintain, and progressively improve the company's network infrastructure.
  • Assist in designing secure and scalable network architectures, including segmentation and access control.
  • Monitor network performance and contribute to documentation and best practices.
  • Learn and apply security principles appropriate to a growing R&D-oriented organization.

Endpoint & Device Management

  • Manage company laptops and devices (macOS, Linux, Windows), including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Handle software installation, updates, and basic automation of system configurations.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for internal users.

Identity, Access & Company Policies

  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain access rights, permissions, and identities across systems and applications.
  • Contribute to defining and enforcing IT and security policies as the company evolves.

Business Applications & SaaS Platforms

  • Administer company business software platforms (e.g. ERP, collaboration and productivity tools).
  • Manage user roles, permissions, configurations, updates, and basic integrations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and support internal workflows.
  • Experience with platforms such as Odoo is a plus; experience with similar systems or strong learning ability is fully acceptable.

Backup & Operational Continuity

  • Operate and monitor backup systems.
  • Perform regular backup checks and support recovery testing.
  • Contribute to documentation and gradual improvement of operational continuity practices.

Growth & Professional Development

  • Progressively take ownership of systems and platforms as skills and experience grow.
  • Participate in defining the evolution of Celeste's IT infrastructure and tools.
  • Develop toward a more senior technical or managerial role as the company scales.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field
  • (or equivalent technical background with demonstrable hands-on experience)
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls)
  • Basic Linux administration skills
  • Familiarity with at least one desktop operating system (macOS, Linux, or Windows)
  • Strong motivation to learn, take responsibility, and grow in a startup environment
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work autonomously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or 1–3 years of experience in IT, systems, or infrastructure roles
  • Basic scripting or automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365, ERP systems)
  • Interest in networking, security, and infrastructure design
  • Willingness to learn new platforms and technologies independently
