This role in summary

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Industrial Engineering Intern to join our Plant Engineering team in Melano (AN), with a focus on automation and digitalization. The IE Intern supports the Plant Engineering team in projects related to automation and digitalization of manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on hands-on learning and close mentoring.

Your responsibilities will include

Daily Operations Support:

  • Assist in defining technical specifications and validation processes for new equipment and tooling, while supporting offer evaluations and participating in supplier sourcing and selection activities
  • Support the preparation and development of business cases for the optimization of industrial processes
  • Participate in and contribute to automation and robotics projects under the guidance of the project team and manager
  • Assist in the definition and implementation of digitalization and innovation projects
  • Assist in monitoring the implementation of standard (STD) processes and propose ideas for improvements
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at optimizing direct and indirect productivity

Minimum requirements

  • Currently studying a Master's degree in Engineering – preferably in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Management, or Automation Engineering
  • Languages: Italian, A good level of English is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across departments.
