Position: Finance Manager / Controller - FMCG

Location: Milan

Overview:

Reporting to the European CFO, we are looking for a Finance Manager / Controller to become a Finance business partner for the Italian business units. The company has operations across the globe and a market leader in their sector (FMCG). This position will be a key hire in the European finance team and trusted advisor to the Italian business units.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for Finance and Controlling for the Italian business units
  • Hands on leading of the closing process as well as preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly financial results
  • Business partner with Italian group leaders, examining financial performance, investigating opportunities for profit enhancement, and recommending actions that promote improved financial results
  • Responsible for compliance and internal controls working closely with counterparts across Europe
  • Preparation and of forecasts, budgets and business plans
  • Working with the European CFO to identify and lead strategic decision analysis projects to drive value
  • Key part of ongoing projects including SAP upgrades
  • Identify financial process improvement and standardization
  • Develop and maintain partner relationships with the leadership team

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a Finance or Business related subject
  • Qualified accountant / MBA an advantage
  • At least 5 years finance experience
  • Solid experience in Finance Management / Controlling for multinational corporations - consumer goods or similar essential
  • Experience in compliance and internal controls
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis
  • Self-Starter with a strong work ethic
  • Experience working with and supporting senior management required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with diverse people across different functions/cultures
  • Good IT skills - MS Office and SAP
