Job Title: Sr Manager Digital & Tech (D&T) SAP Operations
City, Country: Barcelona, Spain

Join our Transactional Core / SAP Platform Services team and take on a role where you'll start by managing the on-premise SAP application services contract for a major part of dsm-firmenich, with your responsibilities expanding to other services over time. You'll ensure suppliers deliver on agreed Service Levels and costs, review performance to maintain operational stability and minimize escalations, manage existing contracts while contributing to renewals and new agreements, and collaborate closely with other Delivery Managers to align approaches and work on shared priorities. Your key responsibilities
  • Manage as Service Delivery Manager the services delivered by a partner (from his locations), providing direction, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Review service performance via the service reporting.
  • Participate in development of business recovery, disaster recovery and continuity plan to deliver system availability, reliability, stability of services to meet agreed service levels.
  • Participate in extending current contracts and preparing, negotiating of new contracts.
  • Responsible for financial management of contracts: Purchase Order creation, follow-up of invoices and payments, financial forecasting
  • Responsible for license compliance of contracts
  • Manage transitions from projects to Managed Operations, prepare transition of large projects to Managed Operations (supported by other Service Delivery Managers)
  • Prepare funding and budget for new (or extension of) services
  • Work with other Platform/Product teams to support delivery of projects and large maintenance activities.
  • Stay current with SAP roadmap and internal developments and propose improvements for service delivery.
  • Participate in chapter or cluster activities on generic and overarching topics, relevant for all suppliers in scope.

You bring
  • 12+ years of experience in SAP, with at least 6 years in a service delivery management role.
  • In-depth knowledge about and experience with Application Managed Services (operations and finances) to be an equal counterpart in discussions (content, concepts, technology) and overlook the services landscape and service providers.
  • Proven SAP functional experience preferably in Supply Chain, Order Management or Manufacturing domain.
  • Experience with on-premise services, cloud services and preferably also with SAP RISE services and RISE contract management.
  • Proven experience with contract management, contract negotiations and financial management including budgeting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, lead and keep cross-team initiatives moving.
  • Confident in dealing with conflicting interests of various stakeholders including senior management.
