The Role
As a Data & AI Senior Architect at Kyndryl, you'll design and implement advanced data management and AI-driven solutions that bring intelligence and scalability to enterprise systems. You will lead the design of architectures that integrate relational, non-relational, and cloud-native data platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security for critical infrastructures.
You'll be responsible for managing and administering enterprise-grade database systems (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, cloud-based DBs), overseeing performance, tuning, monitoring, and optimizing environments. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive large-scale data initiatives, advising clients on emerging trends and best practices in Data & AI.
By developing and enforcing robust data governance and management standards, you will safeguard the integrity of critical information while enabling innovation. Your role will also include evaluating and recommending new technologies to keep Kyndryl and its clients at the forefront of Data & AI transformation.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years in enterprise-level database administration with proficiency in Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based DBs
- Strong knowledge of database concepts, architecture, and best practices
- Proven experience in tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring of DB systems
- Familiarity with cloud DB services and technologies (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP SQL) and Data Warehouse/Data Lake platforms
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Experience with Cloudera or Teradata platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments
