Job Description:

The Airfreight Aerospace Export Operator is responsible for managing and coordinating the export of aerospace-related goods via air freight. This role ensures shipments comply with international trade regulations, aviation standards, and customer requirements, while meeting strict timelines and quality expectations typical of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end air export operations for aerospace components, parts, and equipment
  • Prepare and verify export documentation (Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, export licenses, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and aerospace/aviation standards
  • Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Handle time-critical shipments with accuracy and discretion
  • Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and handling in line with aerospace and IATA regulations
  • Maintain accurate records in freight management systems
  • Provide shipment updates and excellent customer service to clients
  • Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to export compliance

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of airfreight export processes and documentation
  • Familiarity with IATA regulations and international customs procedures
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem-solving and proactive decision-making abilities
  • Competent with logistics software and Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in airfreight exports.
  • Knowledge of export controls and compliance (e.g., dual-use or controlled goods) is an advantage
  • Experience working with airlines and global freight networks
