Job Summary:
The Planning and Reporting Manager will be responsible for consolidating financial planning and reporting activities across Italy Hub. This role involves coordinating with various general managers, regional leadership and financial teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The manager will also play a key role in performance analysis to support decision-making processes. Additionally, the manager will set the tone regarding continuous improvement and drive innovation by identifying and implementing solutions for simplification, automation, and AI integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Consolidation: Gather and consolidate financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with local teams to ensure reliable financial projections.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities with the help of local teams to provide insights to senior management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Business Support: create proper tools to diagnose, understand and track business results, support business case creation, support affiliates in preparation of different reviews
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clusters CFOs, regional leadership and internal/external partners to ensure financial alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Process Automation & Improvement: Partnering with HUB Automation Champion, drive automation initiatives, identify efficiency opportunities, and implement innovative solutions to streamline financial processes. Lead special projects for system integration and provide training on new tools.
  • Efficiency & Productivity Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement efforts and support the Hub CFO in identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and productivity.
  • Governance & Alignment: Oversee team governance, maintain regular alignment processes, and promote consistency across financial functions (FP&A, SCM, GA). Support onboarding of newcomers.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualification And Essential Skills

  • Education: University degree in Economics, Finance or engineering (international studies are a strong plus)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in financial analysis/consulting, preferably in a multinational company, with pharmaceutical industry experience being advantageous. International experience is a plus
  • Language skills: Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in any Central Eastern European language is a plus
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication, capable of building convincing data-driven narratives
  • Analytical proficiency: Deep proficiency in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Forecasting, and Modelling
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent Problem Solver with the ability to envision and deliver innovative solutions
  • Decision-Making: Quick decision maker with the ability to act decisively while considering overarching business goals and stakeholder needs
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work successfully in a team or independently, handle multitasks effectively, and set priorities with a high energy level
  • Continuous Learning: Passion for learning and growth, with experience in cross-functional work/projects
  • Planning and Organization: Proven analytical, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Pressure Handling: Ability to perform well and remain diplomatic in a high-pressure and complex environment
  • Credibility: Ability to establish credibility and make decisive decisions.
  • Strategic Projects: Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering high-profile strategic projects
  • Adaptability: Experience in continually changing environments, adjusting strategies, and realigning priorities
