About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Azure Cloud Build Engineer
to design, build, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
, automation, reliability, and AI-driven development practices. You will leverage tools such as
GitHub Copilot
,
AI agents
,
ARM templates
,
Bicep
, and modern DevOps/SRE practices to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to align cloud solutions with the
Microsoft Well-Architected Framework
across
cost optimization, operational excellence, performance efficiency, reliability, and security
.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure using
  ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform
  .
• Implement
  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  pipelines with
  GitHub Actions
  and integrate
  GitHub Copilot
  for AI-assisted code generation.
• Leverage
  AI agents
  for automation, monitoring, and intelligent operations in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to define SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets for Azure services.
• Ensure solutions adhere to the
  Microsoft Well-Architected Framework
  principles:
• Cost Optimization
  – Implement governance and tagging strategies to monitor and control spend.
• Operational Excellence
  – Automate deployments, enforce policies, and standardize processes.
• Performance Efficiency
  – Design for scalability, resilience, and workload optimization.
• Reliability
  – Implement disaster recovery, failover, and self-healing architectures.
• Security
  – Apply Zero Trust principles, identity management, encryption, and compliance best practices.
• Drive observability by implementing logging, metrics, and distributed tracing with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Mentor teams in best practices for
  IaC, automation, and AI-enhanced DevOps workflows
  .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in
  Azure Cloud engineering, architecture, and automation
  .
• Strong expertise in
  ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform
  .
• Hands-on experience with
  GitHub Copilot
  and
  AI-driven development tools
  .
• Knowledge of
  AI agents
  for cloud automation and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with
  Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  practices in Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of the
  Microsoft Well-Architected Framework
  pillars.
• Proficiency in
  CI/CD pipelines
  (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong background in
  networking, security, and identity in Azure
  (Azure AD, RBAC, managed identities).
• Experience with
  monitoring and observability tools
  (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to
  Kubernetes (AKS)
  and containerized workloads.
• Experience with
  FinOps practices
  for Azure cost governance.
• Knowledge of
  policy as code
  (Azure Policy, Open Policy Agent).
• Familiarity with
  cloud-native AI services
  in Azure (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services).
