Altri requisiti: Competenze in Spettrometria di massa di Proteine, caratterizzazione di proteine, nozioni di protein purification.

Requisiti linguistici: buona conoscenza della lingua inglese (b2). Fluente in italiano.

Data di inizio presunta: Marzo 2025

Durata: 6 mesi (prorogabili altri 6 mesi)

Cosa farai?

Lo stagista svolgerà l'attività nel laboratorio di ricerca preclinica "Mass Spectrometry" presente all'interno della funzione di Protein Biochemistry.

Le attività di ricerca del gruppo si basano sull'identificazione di antigeni proteici batterici mediante proteomica e il loro successivo design e caratterizzazione strutturale mediante tecniche di spettrometria di massa strutturale (scambio idrogeno / deuterio), modelling, microscopia elettronica, e cristallografia a raggi X.

Al fine di studiare la riposta immunitaria durante il corso di una infezione o post vaccinazione, lo stagista parteciperà alla purificazione di anticorpi policlonali di origini animali o umani specifici contro antigeni di interessi e mediante approcci di spettrometria di massa strutturale parteciperà all'identificazione degli epitopi riconosciuti da questi anticorpi..

Grazie a questa esperienza, lo stagista acquisirà competenze in chimica delle proteine e approfondirà le sue conoscenze delle diverse tecnologie di spettrometria di massa e di biologia strutturale applicate alla vaccinologia. Inoltre, acquisterà autonomia nell'utilizzo delle diverse strumentazioni presenti nel laboratorio necessarie allo svolgimento delle sue attività, nell'organizzazione e nella presentazione di suoi risultati ai diversi gruppi di ricerca. .
