Job Summary

The QA/QC Manager will lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for a large-scale data centre project in Milan, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical systems.

This role is specifically required to take ownership of an existing client snag list, raised by the end client, and to drive systematic closure of all QA/QC-related snags through coordination with construction teams, subcontractors, and commissioning teams. The QA/QC Manager will also actively support the commissioning and handover process, including the upload of close-out evidence to Cx Alloy and other client systems

The role is hands-on, site-based, and requires strong technical knowledge of MEP systems in mission-critical environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, and maintain the project QA/QC plan in line with contract requirements and client standards
  • Lead QA/QC activities across mechanical and electrical scopes, ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards
  • Manage and mentor the QA/QC team, including inspectors and document controllers
  • Take ownership of the existing client snag list and quality observations raised by the client and consultants
  • Review, prioritise, and allocate snags to relevant subcontractors and construction teams
  • Drive timely closure of snags, ensuring works are completed correctly and in compliance with quality standards
  • Verify and sign off snag closures through inspections, testing, and documentation review
  • Track progress and report status of open and closed snags to the client and project management team
  • Oversee QA/QC inspections for MEP systems including, but not limited
  • HVAC, chilled water, and ventilation systems
  • Electrical distribution, LV/MV systems, earthing, and UPS
  • Generators, fuel systems, and associated controls
  • Fire detection and suppression systems
  • Review ITPs, method statements, and inspection checklists for M&E works
  • Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
  • Work closely with the commissioning manager and Cx teams to support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
  • Assist in the collection, review, and validation of commissioning and snag close-out evidence
  • Ensure accurate and timely upload of documentation and photographic evidence to Cx Alloy, demonstrating snag closure and system compliance
  • Support readiness for client inspections, witness testing, and final acceptance
  • Ensure QA/QC documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with project and client requirements
  • Support the preparation and close-out of O&M manuals, as-built records, and final handover dossiers
  • Ensure all quality records are correctly filed and auditable
  • Act as the primary QA/QC point of contact with the client and their representatives
  • Attend quality meetings, walkdowns, and inspections with the clients
  • Provide clear, accurate quality reports and progress updates
