Enterprise Digital Transformation (EDT)
to strengthen competitiveness and unlock value through data, AI, and advanced digital capabilities. This journey is led by the
Digital Transformation Office (DTO)
, with the mission to design, scale, and industrialize high-impact digital, data, and AI initiatives across the Group.

The role and the Opportunity

Within this context, Bracco is looking for a
Senior Data Scientist
to shape the Group's
AI and data foundation
as part of its Enterprise Digital Transformation. Reporting to the
Digital Transformation Officer
, the role drives end-to-end AI and ML use cases from business problems to industrialization, working closely with product and ITS teams. The position plays a key role in building and leading a team of data scientists, while defining standards and best practices across analytics and AI. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical leadership with enterprise-level impact at scale.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead design and architecture of AI/ML use cases
  • Monitor model performance and guide retraining or updates
  • Supervise model development, validation, and deployment by junior team members
  • Review code, mentor junior scientists, and enforce best practices
  • Stay updated on AI/ML trends and introduce relevant innovations to the team

Professional Experience

  • 7+ years
    in
    data science
    roles
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Participation in digital / IT transformation initiatives is a plus
  • Background in AI-focused consulting or analytics unit of pharma companies is a plus

Education

  • Master / PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field
  • Additional certifications in cloud, data science, or architecture are a plus

Key Competencies

  • Python, machine learning models, LLMs
  • DevOps, CI/CD for model deployment
  • Cloud platforms
  • Ability to communicate complex models and insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus
