The Quality & Technical Manager dedicated to one of our Maison is responsible for the quality of the brand's Leather Goods, from the development phase to the production phase of the finished product (LLG, SLG, Belts) at the manufacturers. In this role, they will report to the brand's Industrial Director and will coordinate with the Product Development and Supply Chain functions within the brand, with the teams dedicated to the selection and quality of Raw Materials (Leather, metal hardware, etc.) and with the Laboratory for the execution of tests on materials and finished products.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Quality during the development and sampling phase (LLG, SLG, belts)

  • Ensure, together with the R&D manager and the Leather and Metal Hardware technical figures, the conformity of the new raw materials/components introduced within the collections, following the Richemont Guidelines and defining the tests to be carried out to test the conformity, performance and functionality of the materials.

  • Guarantee the correct realization of the new LLG, SLG and belts prototypes by collaborating with the technical figures of Industrialization and Pattern Making.

Pre-production phase

  • Manage the pre-production phase, validating the pilot series of all new materials and finished products with a related quality report and generating the master for the manufacturers.

Quality during the production process

  • Responsible for defining the quality guidelines for Raw Materials and the finished product and, through the resource of their team assigned to this function, must be able to guide suppliers in the correct evaluation of product defects.

  • When necessary, and in coordination with the Industrial Director, Global & Sustainability Director and Product Development Manager, define the parameters and criteria for managing defects and their tolerance limits to be included in the guidelines, as well as the corresponding corrective actions to be applied.

  • Efficient management of the flow of controls, together with the Quality Inspector, in AQL or 100% of production at manufacturers.

Management of quality data and evaluation of Supplier and Manufacturer performance

  • The Quality & Technical Manager is responsible for implementing and supporting business processes and systems to ensure that the end-to-end leather process is properly reflected and applied. The Quality & Technical Manager works toward the KPIs defined by Maison Headquarters, and PRF quality governance monitoring product performance from a qualitative perspective and taking action on products and processes to drive continuous improvement. In addition, the Quality & Technical Manager reports performance data and shares relevant information on manufacturer quality with other internal brand functions

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality within the Leather Goods sector (LG/SLG)

  • Excellent technical knowledge of the development and production processes of small and large leather goods products

  • Ability to Problem Solve in the face of emerging quality problems during the production phase

  • Good knowledge of Excel (Knowledge of SAP will be considered a Plus)

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)

  • Confidence in identifying quality KPIs and related analysis

  • Proactivity and ability to interact with internal and external company stakeholders.
