Maintenance Coordinator

We are now looking for a dedicated
Maintenance Coordinator
to join our team in Lucca, Italy, and play a key role in ensuring the success of a long-term maintenance operations agreement with one of our customers.

You will work at the heart of a leading-edge paper mill, coordinating daily and long-term maintenance activities to ensure safety, reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring safe, efficient, and well-organized maintenance operations.

• Ensure full adherence to HSE policies, perform and update risk assessments, and prepare Work Risk Assessments (RA) and Work Method Statements (WMS).
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily and weekly maintenance activities with supervisors and the Area Manager.
• Prepare weekly schedules, distribute work orders, and assess resource needs.
• Optimize internal/external resource planning and support cost control (spare parts, services, manpower, rework).
• Contribute to KPI monitoring and performance follow-up.
• Lead shutdown planning meetings, prepare schedules, allocate resources, and track progress while ensuring compliance and quality.
• Analyze shutdown results and performance.
• Ensure effective use of SAP CMMS, maintain data quality, and support preventive maintenance and TPM processes.
• Use and manage technical documents (BOMs, drawings, SOPs).
• Support spare parts purchasing, delivery monitoring, and usage analysis.
• Assist with warehouse management, inventory checks, MRP settings, and turnover analysis.
• Contribute to TPM implementation, long-term maintenance planning, and improvement projects.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.

Requirements

• Technical degree or formal qualification in a relevant craft/technical field.
• Experience in planning and/or executing maintenance work, ideally in the paper industry or similar heavy-process industries.
• Strong understanding of papermaking processes.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS and ERP systems (SAP required).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and maintenance documentation.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Good level of English (written and spoken); Italian is a strong advantage.
• Highly safety-oriented mindset.
