About The Role
Are you curious about the world of corporate insurance and eager to gain hands-on experience in underwriting? Join our Property Underwriting team in Milan and take your first steps into the insurance industry. As an intern, you'll support our underwriters on a Property project, helping assess risks and structure insurance programmes for corporate clients and their brokers in the Italian market.
You'll Contribute To
- Analysing and assessing Property submissions, including exposures and coverages
- Supporting underwriting for both new and existing clients
- Preparing quotations and structuring insurance programmes
- Collaborating on strategies to grow our client base and cross-sell other lines of business
- Enhancing our offering to meet evolving market needs
About The Team
You'll be part of a dynamic and experienced local team based in Milan, working closely with underwriters, EMEA Operations teams (both centralized and offshore), and peers across other EMEA locations. Our team brings together a variety of skills and perspectives, all committed to delivering success for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Just graduated or graduating in Engineering/business administration
Open-minded, trustworthy, and a collaborative team player
- Comfortable engaging in constructive discussions
- Proficient in Italian and English, both written and spoken
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Flexibility
This internship is based in Milan and follows Swiss Re's hybrid working model.
Please note this position is offered for 6 months with preferred start date in January.
