About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Business Analyst
to support business transformation, technology delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, analyse processes, and support the delivery of strategic projects.

You will act as the bridge between business teams and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into clear documentation.
  • Analyse existing processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Produce high-quality artefacts including business requirements, user stories, process flows, wireframes, and functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, developers, and testers to ensure requirements are understood and delivered correctly.
  • Support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, and reviews (if working in an Agile environment).
  • Assist in developing business cases, impact assessments, and cost–benefit analyses.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), helping design test cases and validate solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals, project objectives, and delivered outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • 2–5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in IT, digital, or business transformation projects.
  • Strong experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Solid understanding of business process modelling (BPMN preferred).
  • Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) or hybrid delivery models.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or Miro.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Australian industries such as banking, government, insurance, health, telecom, or energy.
  • Knowledge of data analysis using SQL, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, system implementations (ERP/CRM), or integration projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, Agile BA, or Scrum certifications.
