About The Role
In the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team at FTI Consulting, we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Our services include pre-deal commercial and operations due diligence, post-merger integration, business plan development, financial restructuring and insolvency solutions, and performance improvement, including interim management.

We work with major international financial institutions, private equity houses, global law firms, and corporates, on cases encompassing an extensive range of industries. We work closely with clients to quickly ascertain key issues and implement viable and sustainable restructuring solutions and exit strategies.

What You'll Do
Our interns will gain an overview of all aspects of Corporate Finance at FTI Consulting. The successful candidate will participate in project teams, working with clients on the execution of various engagements.

Day-to-day tasks will vary by day, but you can expect to undertake many of the following:

• Researching an identified sector or business to evaluate past trends, market sentiments, strategic, operational, commercial issues and opportunities and potential improvement areas.
• Contribute to reports, pitches, stakeholder presentations and industry thought pieces.
• Assist in conducting detailed market and company analysis to identify advisory opportunities.
• Assist in p erform ing financial and operational modelling to evaluate business viability, liquidity and profitability.
• Assist in assessing operational efficiency through benchmarking and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in the development of business plans, turnaround strategies and implementation roadmaps.
• Contribute to carve-out and integration planning, supporting execution of restructuring initiatives.
• Depending on capability and opportunity, being a part of a project and supporting team with analysis and deliverable creation.

Basic Qualifications
What You Will Need to Succeed

• Must be available to work in an 8-week, full-time internship from 8 June August 2026.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline will be considered, though quantitative degrees (e.g., Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, etc.) are preferred.

• Ability to think logically and work with numbers.
• Inquiring mind and strong desire to learn and develop.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organization , self-management, proactivity, and teamwork skills.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to think on your feet.
• Computer literate with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Fluent English and Italian speaker and writer.
• Interest and passion for restructuring, business transformation and transactions.
