Purpose of the position:
As Senior Piping & Layout Engineer you will be part of the Energy Carriers Business Line, within Tub Department.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities

  • Development of the plant layout.
  • Drafting of critical piping routes based on process diagrams and layouts, considering aspects such as accessibility, maintainability, safety, thermal gradients and material costs.
  • Counting piping materials based on process diagrams and floor plans.
  • Interpreting technical specifications and identifying critical aspects.
  • Analyzing and interpreting contract clauses and critically analyzing customer requests
  • Activity planning, project schedule commentary, task delegation to collaborators and continuous progress monitoring.
  • Management and timely issuance of change orders and variations from the basic scope.
  • Supervision of piping plant engineering activities carried out by external subcontractors or other Saipem engineering centers.

What are we looking for?
Education:
Master's Degree/bachelor's degree/ Technical Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in the design of industrial plants in the oil & gas, petrochemical, renewable, floaters sectors;

Languages:
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English - B2 level

Technical Skills:
The resource will be responsible for ensuring that piping engineering activities are carried out in accordance with the costs and timescales set out in the contract and in line with the strategies defined by project management, liaising with piping professionals such as piping leads, piping material engineers, piping flexibility engineers, piping designers and piping engineers of various backgrounds and nationalities.

IT Skills:
good skills in using the main computer software programs

What else should you know?
You will have the opportunity to travel abroad based on the projects you will work for and within the project assigned.
