Execute field inspection and Quality Control activities on site, collecting relevant quality records. Ensure all electrical, instrumentation, civil construction, and material management operations are executed in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards, and Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans. This role offers specialization tracks based on technical expertise and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities per Quality Control Plans
• Issue Quality Records and non-conformance reports as required
• Verify conformity with specifications and ensure proper material traceability
• Check materials are correctly received, stored, preserved, handled, identified and traceable
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, and functional checks
• Witness tests and inspections, verify results are in accordance with codes and standards
• Verify testing and measuring equipment are calibrated and suitable for use
• Check availability of procedures, qualifications, and certifications
• Collect and manage documentation ensuring records are retrievable in final As-Built dossier
• For subcontractor activities: ensure correct implementation of approved Quality Control Plans and witness inspections

Technical Specialization Areas

Electrical:

• Check cable laying and cable identification
• Inspect installation of electrical equipment (transformers, switchboards, batteries, lighting systems, sockets)
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, rating checks, assembly and termination verification
• Conduct continuity and insulation resistance tests
• Check installation and perform cable termination and torquing
• Witness functional tests for electrical equipment
• Verify special processes and workers' qualifications (e.g., MV Cable hi-pot test)
• Ensure master testing equipment is calibrated per international codes and standards

Instrumentation:

• Check cable laying and cable identification per project standards
• Verify loop check documentation requirements (drawings, data sheets, calibration certificates)
• Ensure RED Line mark-ups are updated on As-Built drawings
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, check ratings, materials and terminations
• Witness/perform continuity and insulation resistance tests
• Verify calibration of instruments against data sheets (field instruments, safety valves)
• Calibrate instruments and verify field instrument installations
• Witness functional tests and fiber optic cable installation/testing
• Check pneumatic signal connections per AFC drawings

Civil:

• Check preparation of foundations and correct preparation of reinforcements
• Verify certifications (element mixes, ASTM tests, chemical analysis, grain size analysis)
• Monitor atmospheric conditions during pouring operations
• Monitor correct curing operations and check sampling operations
• Review laboratory examination results
• Check sub-grade dry density, moisture content, compression strength tests
• Check after execution of casting and concrete pouring
• Check materials quality (wire, fittings, etc.)
• Verify special processes and workers' qualifications

Material:

• Verify supply compliance with Purchase Order and Project Specifications (visual and dimensional control)
• Check materials are correctly received, stored, preserved and handled
• Check materials are correctly identified and traceable
• Carry out visual checks on materials delivered to site, verify integrity and correct marking of items
• Issue Inspection Material Reports and/or Receiving Inspection Reports
• Issue Non-Conformity Reports when required
• Manage material certification documentation

Education:

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in relevant discipline
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred

Experience:

• 3-10 years in Quality Control inspection activities
• Hands-on experience in at least one specialization area
• Oil & gas, construction, or industrial facility project experience
• Site-based inspection experience required

Certifications (based on specialization):

• Electrical: Electrical safety and testing certifications
• Instrumentation: Instrument calibration certifications, automation system knowledge
• Civil: Concrete testing certifications (ACI, ASTM), structural inspection credentials
• Material: Material inspection and certification knowledge
• Industry-specific certifications as required by project

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans
• Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, ASME, ACI, IEC, IEEE, ISO, etc.)
• Understanding of construction sequences and planning
• Instrument calibration and measurement techniques
• Material preservation and warehouse procedures
• QC database and reporting tools

Core Competencies:

• Attention to detail and accuracy in inspections
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Communication skills for reporting and coordination
• Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
