Join Valmet as a Commissioning Advisor for our Gorizia or Lucca Plant.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with the commissioning and system start-up of air-to-heat systems and hoods, working both in Italy and internationally.
You will play a key part in assisting customer technicians on-site, ensuring smooth execution, high‑quality standards, and compliance with safety requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the commissioning and system start-up of air-to-heat systems and hoods both in Italy and abroad, ensuring full adherence to quality and safety standards are met.

  • Support customer technicians throughout the commissioning process, working either in pairs or autonomously depending on project needs.

  • Maintain direct and clear communication with customers, providing timely updates on progress and issues.

  • Travel frequently for on‑site installations (approximately 30–40% of the time, in non-consecutive periods).

  • Provide support in process optimization and troubleshooting of installed systems.

  • Collaborate with the Technical Office for design‑related support and troubleshooting.

Expectations for You:

  • Technical Diploma in Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering.

  • 2–3 years of experience in similar roles, ideally in on site activities related to automation.

  • Proficiency in Italian and English (minimum B1/B2), both written and spoken.

  • Experience in electromechanical installations and air-to-heat systems.

  • Willingness to travel frequently.

You will join a dynamic and collaborative Start‑up Team specialized in the installation and commissioning of Yankee Hoods and related air‑system technologies.

Our department's mission is to deliver advanced drying and ventilation solutions that significantly improve energy efficiency and sustainability in tissue production, reducing the overall environmental impact of tissue‑making equipment.

As part of our global organization, you will work closely with cross‑functional internal stakeholders while collaborating directly with customers and their on‑site technical teams throughout all installation, commissioning, and start‑up phases. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth execution, high technical performance, and strong customer satisfaction during every step of the process.
