Join our team in Aman Venice. Set in Palazzo Papadopoli, one of the city's eight monumental palazzos on the Grand Canal, Aman Venice embodies all that is sumptuous and sensuous about La Serenissima. THE POSITION
The overall scope of the Restaurant Manager is to coordinate the ARVA Restaurant's activities and its staff in day-to-day operations, ensuring tasks and activities are carried out smoothly.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver warm, professional and personalized service;
- Ensure that all dining areas are consistently prepared, clean and arranged according to Aman standards;
- Oversee daily operations and coordinate service flow across the restaurant;
- Uphold fine dining standards and ensure colleagues consistently follow service procedures;
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of wines, spirits and cocktails, supporting the team in guest interactions;
- Manage reservations and collaborate closely with the F&B Hostess;
- Monitor financial performance, maximize revenue opportunities and manage cost control measures;
- Conduct daily briefings, maintain clear communication and ensure smooth shift transitions;
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, professionally and thoughtfully;
- Support training and development of colleagues to enhance service quality;
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and operational procedures;
- Collaborate with the culinary and broader Food and Beverage teams to deliver seamless service;
- Maintain accurate records, reports and operational documentation;
- Support with the recruitment process for the Restaurant Team;
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits and cocktails. Having the AIS Certificate is considered a plus as well as a degree in Hospitality Management from a recognized;
- Fluency in written and verbal Italian and English;
- Knowledge of an additional language such as French, German or Spanish is an advantage;
- A positive, energetic and engaging personality;
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work independently;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Cultural sensitivity and refined interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work under pressure with various stakeholders;
- Professional appearance and demeanour;
- Ability to guide, support and develop junior colleagues;
- Legal right to work in Italy is required.
