Computational Mechanics Engineer

About the Role We are developing a cutting-edge Structural Analysis Software that leverages Finite Element Method (FEM) to solve linear and nonlinear solid mechanics problems for both static and dynamic configurations. We are seeking an experienced Computational Mechanics Engineer to collaborate tightly with our team of software developers. The ideal candidate will contribute to creating functional prototypes and offer structural insights and feedback. Sounds Nice? Check the following requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (structures, aerospace, mechanics, naval, etc);
- Experience implementing nonlinear solid mechanics solvers (in any language);
- Experience in seismic engineering research and analysis or equivalent experience in aerospace/vehicle engineering;
- Ability to read a research paper of solid mechanics and derive from there a working practical software implementation;
- Good knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python;
- Proficient in English, spoken and written.
- Knowledge in software engineering principles (like algorithms, data structures, test-driven development, design patterns, etc…);
- A Phd in numerical methods applied to solid mechanics will be considered as a big plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse cultures (our offices are globally located) and effectively lead meetings and presentations;
- Collaborative team player;
- Passionate about research and analysis;
- Self-motivated with a straight-to-the-point decision-making approach;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
We Offer Flex Time: you can decide when to work from 6 am to 10 pm. We have a Core Time from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in which presence is required (WFH/office), and the rest of the day is up to you Hybrid Work from Home Policy - ZURU Tech has an office-first approach.
