Our client is a Tech/Software business backed by a tier-one private equity fund. With a c. €100M turnover and healthy EBITDA, the company is being carved out from a larger group to become a standalone, product-led platform with significant growth ambitions across Europe.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the fund, the incoming Group CFO will lead the creation of an independent finance function and guide the business through its transition to a scalable, software-focused model. This is a rare opportunity to partner closely with a leading PE fund at the Board level, shaping the foundations of a high-performing, fast-growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead all core finance processes, systems, and controls following the carve-out
  • Develop investor-grade reporting and insight to support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning during and after the transition
  • Support the CEO and investors in shaping growth strategy and value creation plans
  • Recruit and develop a small, capable finance team aligned to future scale

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent Italian and strong English
  • Proven track record as a senior finance leader within PE-backed or high-growth settings
  • Experience in software, technology, or SaaS
  • Hands-on operator comfortable building from the ground up

  • Strong communication and credibility with senior management and investors
