Lead Engineer – Subsea Distribution Systems (SDS)
Play an integral role in design and development
The SDS Lead Engineer is responsible for the design and development of products for the subsea oil fields distribution system. You will work in a multicultural team of cross functional specialists, being responsible for definition of product requirements, design of new products and development of new solutions for existing products. You will contribute to technological development, provide technical information and support clients and colleagues. You will Lead and coordinate suppliers during product design, manufacturing and testing.

You will also be responsible for:

• Establishing technical requirements based on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards
• Leading on design development activities such as CAD modelling and documents creation ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule
• Collaborating cross functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, design, activities, and deliverables.
• Presenting design outcomes in design reviews when and as relevant.
• Managing engineering suppliers on the technical standpoint, providing guidance and granting compliance to applicable technical and contractual requirements.
• Providing engineering support to program management and any other stakeholders
• Supporting the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and test of designed products
• Providing consultancy advice to the project bid team.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:

• BSc or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Expert in 3D CAD modelling.
• Robust mechanical design background
• Proactive and willing to take ownership and responsibility
• Good customer facing skills, be focused and project oriented, capable of delivering in fast phased environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Subsea equipment knowledge and relevant design methodologies
