Position Overview

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will play a key role within Blubrake's Product Development team, contributing to the complete lifecycle of the embedded software that powers our cutting-edge products. You will be responsible for software design, implementation, validation, and data analysis — ensuring robust, high-performance code that meets the most demanding standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with system engineers, mechatronics engineers, electronics designers, and product managers to translate product requirements into data driven system identifications, software architecture and deliver solutions that seamlessly integrate with hardware and mechanical components. You will drive continuous improvement in development processes, contributing to the evolution of Blubrake's software platform and the scalability of its technology roadmap.

Key Requirements

·      MSc or PhD in Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

·      Proven experience developing real-time embedded control systems for safety-critical applications (automotive, aerospace, robotics, or similar).

·      Strong knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink, Stateflow, Embedded Coder, and C programming for production-grade embedded software.

·      Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), CAN / LIN communication, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.

·      Familiarity with automotive development standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and MISRA C.

·      Experience in system modeling, identification, and control theory (including black-box, grey-box, and physics-based modeling).

·      Strong data analysis skills with the ability to extract actionable insights from experimental and test data.

·      Hands-on approach with a "get it done" mindset — comfortable debugging on target hardware, testing in the lab or on-vehicle, and solving problems in dynamic environments.

·      Passion for technology, mobility, and innovation — someone who continuously learns, challenges conventions, and aims to raise the bar.

·      Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
