SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE

We are on a mission to drive and expand Onitsuka Tiger's global business and become the most iconic premium lifestyle brand. We are seeking a talented and passionate
Designer
to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong aesthetic sense, a keen understanding of market trends, and the ability to create unique and fashionable designs that align with our brand vision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fully driven by consumer needs and trends to execute the product strategy of Onitsuka Tiger.
  • Lead and drive multiple men and women seasons/categories design from conceptualizations to finished products.
  • Design medium to high complexity products with a refined aesthetic sensibility, leveraging your experience, passion, and technical expertise.
  • Manage the planning, implementation, and analysis of merch briefs and line plans, and ensure creative designs are aligned with branding guidelines and commercial needs.
  • Review and approve materials, colors, and final styles based on input from Design, Merchandising and Product development teams.
  • Present your work confidently to large audiences, and engage in constructive, objective feedback exchanges.
  • Stay updated with outdoor industry developments, new technologies, and design techniques.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in a designer role. Strong initiative and project ownership with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, …
  • A creative leader who can work independently, make decisive design choices, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong ownership of your craft, with the ability to translate concepts into precise product executions using available tools.
  • Excellent understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a creative mindset
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Italian languages (knowledge of Japanese language is a plus).

THE HISTORY AND VISION OF Onitsuka Tiger

Onitsuka Tiger was born in 1949 as a sports shoe brand. The company continued to evolve until 1977, actively incorporating innovative ideas and technologies. In 2002, the company was reborn as a fashion brand in search of a more sophisticated style. Shoes that were once used for competitions were updated to shoes for town use, and they became loved as fashion items. Newly designed clothing and bags also express Onitsuka Tiger's commitment to both traditional detailing and a fashion mindset. Onitsuka Tiger is now undergoing a further evolution. It is sublimating itself into a "premium fashion brand. This premium is not about the price of a product, but rather about the brand's worldview, commitment to quality, and service, meaning one and only.
