ICONS is the third organisation in Lombardy for funding received from Horizon Europe, the European research and innovation funding programme.

We are looking for a freelance consultant with expertise in the business innovation area to design sustainable, replicable, and industrialization strategies for innovative solutions developed in EU collaborative projects.

You will be responsible for designing innovative business models and go-to-market strategies for disruptive innovations across diverse fields such as
energy, batteries, smart buildings, and circular economy.

You should be able to quickly grasp and elaborate complex information, understand projects' needs and lead the development of business and sustainability strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the context of EU-funded projects, you will:  

·       
Support the
development of innovation management and market strategies

for project results;

·       
Conduct market and ecosystem analysis, using both primary and secondary research;

·       
Design business models and plans, considering sustainability and innovative aspects;

·       
Contribute to impact assessment, replication, and go-to-market strategy;

·       
Organise stakeholder and end-user workshops/focus groups to validate innovation and/or replication potential;

·       
Write projects' deliverables, in coordination with the Head of Unit, the team, and the project partners.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in business, economics/social sciences or equivalent; Innovation and Sustainability studies will be considered as a plus;
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a Business Innovation professional, preferably in research and Innovation projects;
  • Experience in research, insight, advisory, or strategy roles at a market research organisation, academia, a management consulting company, or within the strategic marketing department of companies developing innovative solutions;
  • Independent analysis and project management;
  • Ability to write insightful reports, communication, and presentation skills (both oral and written) in Italian and English.

WORKING LOCATION

Remote, with availability to visit periodically our headquarters in Lodi

CONTRACT

We are looking for VAT-registered consultants willing to collaborate with ICONS on a long-term basis. ICONS will consider candidates with experience in business and research organisations. The offered fee will depend on qualifications and work experience.
