Job Purpose
JOB DESCRIPTION
Weatherford are seeking experienced Field Specialists to join the Well Services Team in Ortona, Italy
. The Field Specialist applies standard techniques and procedures for Weatherford's oil and gas services. This intermediate-level position works under direct supervision while gaining experience to troubleshoot technical issues, interface with clients at well sites, and manage service assignments and personnel.The Field Specialist will be required to work on an adhoc basis onshore/offshore and in the Repair & Maintenance Workshop on the Ortona site when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operations meetings, safety briefings, and Job Hazard Analysis.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in safe, presentable condition.
  • Monitor and analyze data to recommend services and solutions.
  • Participate with job planning, tool preparation, mobilization, and execution.
  • Submit all job-related documentation within acceptable timeframes.
  • Available on 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Manage inventory and supplies at well sites.
  • Participate in equipment failure investigations.
  • Perform engineering checks while on client location.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain highest standards of corporate governance and compliance with company policies.
  • Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security and Environmental protection.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of safety protocols.

Required

  • 1-5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferably with coil tubing knowledge and experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics.
  • Mathematics and basic physics/chemistry knowledge.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within Italy and surrounding countries.
  • Good English language skills – spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Time management and quality control analysis skills.
  • Physical capability to perform required tasks.
  • Technical Certificate from accredited Technical/Vocational School is preferred.
