We are looking for a UI Designer intern (extracurricular internship) – a curious, creative person with a strong aesthetic sense who loves to draw and translate ideas into harmonious, functional digital interfaces.

The selected candidate will join our HMI development department, working within the UI design area.

They will be involved in creating and refining prototypal interface graphics for mobility applications, contributing to concept visualization, digital mockups, and visual storytelling for next-generation user interfaces.

The ideal candidate has an artistic background, a keen eye for detail, and a trained hand for visual composition.

During the internship, the UI Designer intern will support the design team in activities such as:

• Designing interface layouts, icons, and visual elements for digital prototypes and HMI systems;
• Developing and refining prototypal graphics for mobility-related applications (e.g., automotive, transportation, and smart mobility);
• Supporting the creation of interactive mockups and design concepts using Figma or similar tools;
• Collaborating with UX designers and developers to ensure visual consistency and usability across different design iterations;
• Assisting in the preparation of design presentations, visual storytelling assets, and moodboards;
• Contributing to style guides and design systems to maintain coherent visual standards;

• Diploma or secondary school degree in an artistic or graphic field;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or ongoing studies) in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related fields;
• Good knowledge of main digital design tools:
• Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.);
• Strong visual and aesthetic sensitivity, attention to detail, and composition skills;
• Willingness to learn and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

• Schedule: Full-time

• Work location: On-site, Reggio Emilia HQ
