AI Research Intern — Generative Music

SoundBerry is building the next generation of AI-powered music creation tools. Our mission is to make creativity accessible by combining artificial intelligence and human artistry. We are developing a generative music engine that allows artists and producers to create, edit, and collaborate seamlessly within a browser-based environment.

We are looking for a motivated AI Research Intern to join our engineering team and support the development of the next version of our generative music model.

The role is ideal for someone early in their career who has a strong curiosity for AI and music technology, and is eager to learn in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training, fine-tuning, and evaluating generative audio models
  • Contribute to data preparation, preprocessing, and quality control
  • Support experiments on new architectures and model optimization
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and product developers to integrate research outputs into the product pipeline
  • Document findings and help improve internal research workflows

Qualifications

  • Background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field (Bachelor's or Master)
  • Basic skills in Python and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow Interest in generative models (e.g., diffusion models, transformers, or VAEs)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for music and enthusiasm for exploring AI's role in creativity
  • (Nice to have) Experience with side projects, open-source contributions, or digital audio tools (DAWs, plugins, etc.)
