Your position in our team

The General Manager holds full profit and loss responsibility for the sales office and leads the implementation of the corporate strategy into a compliant strategic planning and procedure within the local sales office. This role ensures the development and execution of efficient business processes and contributes to the continuous growth and optimization of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Manager, you will:

  • Comply with all agreements that are signed between the Boplan sales office and other companies of Boplan Group, in particular the distribution agreement and service agreements between Boplan Industries BV and Boplan Sales Office.

  • Be jointly responsible for optimizing the sales concept within the Sales Office and in alignment with the company-wide sales concept.

  • Work closely with the local team and international colleagues to continuously improve the quality of work processes.

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the business unit and encourage the team to perform consistently at a high level.  

  • Be jointly responsible for the recruitment of future talent in coordination with the company's headquarters and Executive Committee, to promote the further development of the business unit.

  • Oversee HR, marketing and financial matters in coordination with the company's headquarters.

  • Introduce and foster a motivating corporate culture that promotes commitment and growth.

  • Ghather and analyze market information to develop a successful strategies.

  • Be responsible for forecasting and monitoring sales targets across all allocated regions.

  • Reports to the Sales manager Europe and/or his representatives of the Executive Committee, in accordance with company policies.

  • Perform any other tasks related to your role or professional competencies as a General Manager.

  • Carry out all assigned duties carefully and conscientiously.

  • Refrain from accepting commissions, gifts or other benefits from third parties in context of your contractual activities.

During your appointment as a General Manager

  • You are expected to dedicate all of your time, attention, and abilities to the business of the Sales Office and any Group Company where you hold a managerial or advisory role, except when prevented by incapacity.

  • You diligently exercise such powers and perform such duties as may from time to time be assigned to you by Boplan Industries BV, together with any person or persons the company appoints to act jointly with you.

  • You comply with all reasonable and lawful directions given to you by the Boplan Industries BV.

  • You keep the CEO informed by providing timely and accurate reports on the affairs of any Group Company, as required.

  • You immediately report any misconduct or potential misconduct by yourself or by any other manager or employee of any Group Company to the CEO as soon as you become aware of it.

  • You consistently make every reasonable effort to promote, protect, develop and grow the business of any Group Company.



Your profile

You have:

  • Master's degree (e.g., Business Administration, Organizational Studies, or similar).

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in:

    • Companies excelling in a product leadership strategy.

    • Fast-growing organizations.

    • Commercial and technically oriented environments.

    • Family-owned businesses with headquarters abroad.

    • Managing and motivating employees, implementing and executing strategy (including full P&L responsibility), and collaborating with a head office abroad.

  • Excellent communication skills: directing, influencing, convincing, listening, and showing style flexibility and perseverance where needed.

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset: recognizing opportunities, shaping and adjusting strategy, executing effectively, approachable and down to earth.

  • Strong organizational skills: applying structure through processes and procedures and ensuring follow-through; data-driven approach.

  • Demonstrate a proven track record in hands-on field coaching of sales profiles and a solid experience in key account management.

  • Proven ability to translate corporate strategy into clear, actionable objectives for the business unit, with a hands-on "lead by example" approach.

  • Lead by example in promoting company values: Positivity, Passion, Connection, Agility, and Trustworthiness.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Works on-site daily from the Sales Office.
