Contract Type: Permanent
Workplace Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite and 3 days remote-field-based)
Location: Pogliano Milanese – Milan, Lombardi, Italy
Reports to: Italy Director
Your Role
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will lead the commercial agenda in Italy, driving performance across our Writing/Labelling portfolio within specialised sales channels.
You will be responsible for delivering strong commercial results, growing key accounts, and developing a high-performing team – all whilst ensuring that Newell Brands continues to lead with excellence and agility. Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Strategy: Lead the commercial strategy across assigned categories and channels, with ownership of revenue, margin, and market share targets.
- P&L Management: Manage the full P&L for your business area, including forecasting, budgeting and sales delivery.
- Customer Development: Develop and execute customer plans in partnership with Key Account Managers - covering assortment, pricing, promotions and execution.
- Team Leadership: Build, coach and inspire a high-performing team (KAMs/NAMs, Agents) focused on accountability and growth.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with international marketing and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and best practice sharing.
- Market Engagement: Stay close to the market through regular customer visits and by monitoring trends, insights, and opportunities.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or similar field).
- Sales Leadership: Proven experience in senior sales roles within FMCG or a related industry, with a strong track record in team development and leadership.
- Customer & Channel Expertise: Solid experience managing key accounts and commercial planning (assortment, pricing, promotions, execution).
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, commercial strategy, and decision-making based on data and insight.
- Communication: Skilled in presenting to senior stakeholders, with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
- Languages & Mobility: Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus. Willingness to travel as required across Italy.
