Manufacturing Buyer

Job Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a Buyer to help achieve our team goals by guaranteeing the purchase of subcontracted components and services at the best conditions of price, quality and deadlines, in accordance with recommendations of global Supply Chain Team. In this role you will develop and implement purchasing strategies by supporting the Commercial Operations team regarding advance procurement activities, developing our strategy in the engineered markets, with the goal of increasing our profitability and our on-time delivery. You will work on strengthening the alignment of the Company's Purchasing strategy and business strategy. Having the full ownership of the suppliers portfolio, you will work in close relationship with supply team to improve our delivery.

Your Role:

Support Commercial Operations for any supply chain quotes required to support tender activities

Management of Purchasing Orders: Plan and finalize purchase orders details and deliveries in accordance with Customers expectations and Company Sales Plans

Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value offering for Flowserve with respect to the scope of work and Site/BU needs; balancing Quality, Delivery and Cost. This includes any specific flowdowns or contractual terms relative to a specific scope

Monitor all open purchase orders for securing the on time delivery, including management of dates to MRP need by dates, managing change orders etc.

Monitor the relevant KPIs

Collaborate with the Planning Team to manage the internal work-loads in accordance with Customers expectations and Company Sales Plans

Collaborate with Supply Chain to strengthen and expand the network of suppliers based on processes and/or market needs

Operate in full compliance to all Flowserve Policies & Procedures as applicable to the role

Your Profile:

Cooperative & flexible attitude

Relevant supply chain experience including a good understanding of all the main purchasing areas: negotiations, evaluation and development of suppliers, supplier quality, logistics etc.

Proficiency in Project Management

SAP experience

Proficient with Excel

Strong adaptive skills

Fluency in English

Engineering degree and 5-7 years relevant experience.
