Role Overview

This position supports Scientific Operations by addressing informatics needs through the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of scientific systems and applications, with a focus on Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) based on the LabWare platform. Key responsibilities include programming and scripting using proprietary LIMS languages, collaborating directly with end-users for business and demand analysis, and supporting the deployment and maintenance of laboratory systems while ensuring compliance with security and data transfer standards.

The role contributes to global informatics initiatives and works in close alignment with other R&D IT team members. A strong degree of autonomy is expected.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide informatics support for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of scientific applications, particularly LabWare-based LIMS and other laboratory systems.
  • Ensure systems operate effectively and as intended; troubleshoot issues and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal end-users and external vendors to gather requirements, design solutions, and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with the internal Computer System Quality Management (CSQM) framework.
  • Participate in international informatics projects and initiatives.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

Education and Skills

Required

  • Over 4 years of experience with the LabWare platform, including IT support and LIMS basic programming.
  • Proficiency in SQL queries.
  • Strong adaptability.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of LabWare Pharma Solution.
  • Completion of LabWare-certified courses.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles
  • Understanding of GAMP5 and Computer System Validation (CSV).
  • Software and Unit Testing development (coding)
  • Knowledge of full stack engineering with modules on both front and back-end processes
  • .NET, C# and/or Java and/or Python, HTML, CSS, Oracle DB, SQL Server, No SQL
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Italian: Fluent
  • English: Intermediate or above
