Operations Specialist – Airport Warehouse

Position Overview

We are looking for an Operations Specialist to support daily logistics activities at our BGY airport warehouse.

This role is operational, hands-on, and highly collaborative, acting as a key coordination point between dispatch, warehouse operations, and customers.

Core Responsibilities

  • Shipment Monitoring & Exception Handling

Monitor shipment movements via tracking systems; identify delays/exceptions (pickup delay, missing scan, delivery exceptions) and coordinate resolution with internal teams and partners.

  • Operational Coordination (Dispatch / Trucking / Warehouse)

Coordinate daily pickup with cargo terminal; liaise with trucking companies to arrange daily line-haul to last-mile partners; align with warehouse operators for loading readiness and execution.

  • Customer & Partner Communication

Send daily truck pre-alerts to last-mile partners; provide timely shipment status updates and handle operational inquiries in English when needed.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting

Maintain and analyze operational data (shipment status, transit time, exceptions, performance metrics); produce regular reports/dashboards for KPI visibility; highlight trends and improvement opportunities and support management in process optimization.

  • Problem Resolution & Root Cause Support

Act as a point of contact for operational issues; collaborate cross-functionally to investigate root causes and support corrective actions; escalate critical issues with clear summary and recommendations.

Profile Requirements

  • Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, or airport cargo environments is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work on-site at BGY Airport – Cargo City with a flexible schedule

Requisiti linguistici:

  • Italiano fluente (indispensabile per il lavoro operativo quotidiano)
  • Inglese a livello lavorativo

Compensation will be evaluated and defined after the interview process, based on the candidate's experience and skills.
