What does an EHS Manager do?As the EHS Manager and RSPP for the Passirana site (Milan area), you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs. Your role ensures compliance with Italian regulations (D.Lgs. 81/08 and D.Lgs. 152/06), drives performance toward world-class standards, and integrates corporate EHS policies locally. You will manage site-specific risk assessments, permits, audits, and training, while also supporting regional EHS initiatives across multiple European sites (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Poland).
Why do we need you?We're looking for someone who can lead with expertise, collaborate across teams, and ensure our operations are safe, compliant, and continuously improving. Here's what we need from you:
- Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of Italian EHS laws and ability to apply them effectively across site operations.
- Risk Management: Ability to conduct and update comprehensive risk assessments (e.g., manual handling, chemical agents, fire safety).
- System Leadership: Experience managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001-based EHS systems and integrating them into broader compliance models.
- Training Coordination: Skilled in organizing and ensuring completion of mandatory EHS trainings (e.g., First Aid, PPE, Fire Safety).
- Audit & Compliance: Capable of leading audits, gap analyses, and corrective action plans to meet corporate and legal standards.
- Communication & Influence: Strong communicator who can engage senior leaders and line managers in EHS initiatives.
- Project Collaboration: Able to support capital projects through EHS checklists and change management processes.
- Regional Oversight: Comfortable working across multiple countries to ensure consistent EHS compliance and program deployment.
- Degree in a Technical Discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent).
- Professional Qualification as RSPP for ATECO 5 sector.
- Proben experience as RSPP and/or EHS coordinator in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a multinational company.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong leadership, coordination, and influencing skills.
- Results-oriented and disciplined.
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
