Electrician Journeyman
Reporting to the E&I Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for the following:
- Must be able to repair, maintain, and install wiring, motors, motor controls, PLC's, AC/DC Drives, transformers, motors, generators, lighting, instrumentation, valves and other electrical systems.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and service all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Must be able to provide technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the mill.
- Must be able to study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
- Must maintain and repair equipment –Distribute Control System (DCS), PLC Equipment, variable speed drives, level, pressure and temperature controls, automatic and pneumatic controls for flow pressure, turbine generators, breakers and power distribution equipment.
- Must be able to study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
- Must be able to prove knowledge of basic safety procedures including lock out procedures and have the willingness to use such knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; and associate's degree in electrical / Instrumentation preferred
- 5 years of troubleshooting experience with close support of production equipment
- Understanding of National Electric Code (NEC)
- Experience with electric motors, drives, & PLCs
- Ability to work in elevated temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F
Electrician Journeyman positions start at $35.64 and pay as high as $38.26
