We are looking for a
Continuous Improvement Specialist
to join our Team based in Calderara di Reno (BO).

MISSION

Lead the implementation, development, and consolidation of Continuous Improvement and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies within the plant. The role aims to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, improve equipment availability, and foster a company culture driven by continuous improvement and active employee involvement.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Continuous Improvement:

  • Apply and promote the structured use of Lean methodologies (5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Problem Solving, etc.) within production and logistics processes at the assigned plant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities in terms of productivity, quality, safety, and SMED performance.
  • Lead Kaizen workshops and Gemba Walk activities, engaging operational personnel at all levels.
  • Support the definition and monitoring of operational performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain improvement plans at both department and plant levels.
  • Design and implement an audit system based on 5S and TPM principles, ensuring proper application and alignment across all plants in the business unit using common metrics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through awareness and training programs (on-the-job training, classroom sessions, and coaching).
  • Support the sharing and standardization of best practices across departments and among the group's plants.
  • Collaborate with HR and Production teams to design technical and behavioral training paths related to Lean and TPM.

Total Productive Maintencance (TPM):

  • Support production departments in executing and consolidating Autonomous Maintenance activities, ensuring the proper level of standardization and discipline.
  • Coordinate the analysis of recurring equipment stoppages (loss analysis) and promote improvement plans aimed at increasing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Work in close collaboration with the Maintenance department to introduce preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Support the development of operational standards and maintenance activity checklists.
  • Participates in and supports the plant's TPM certification process.

Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare periodic project progress reports, highlighting achieved results, generated savings, critical issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and structured archiving of standards and results related to Continuous Improvement (CI) and TPM activities.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge and application of Lean tools: 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kanban, Poka Yoke, Standard Work.
  • Knowledge of TPM pillars and ability to implement them (Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze efficiency losses (Six Big Losses) and calculate OEE indicators.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP/MES systems for production data collection and management.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
