About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and motivated intern to join our Italy Purchasing team based in Milan. Reporting to the Italy Non-Raw Material Purchasing, you will play a key role in supporting procurement activities, working directly for the head-office and the operative plants in Italy, developing essential skills for a future career in Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support negotiations with specific suppliers or supplier groups to optimize terms and value.
  • Prepare and process reports for Headquarters, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Follow up on invoices in the system and assist with SAP updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth purchasing operations.

With a proper tutoring, you will:

  • Learn and apply techniques for managing commercial relationships with suppliers.
  • Gain exposure to supplier contract elements and compliance requirements.
  • Develop proficiency in IT tools for purchasing management, especially SAP.
  • Build skills in managing priorities and collaborating within a structured, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduates or students in Engineering or Economics.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Quantitative and analytical mindset.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
