Working in the commercial area means understanding the target market and having a critical and strategic eye towards it. Every day, analysis and strategy combine to anticipate needs and trends, but above all, to tailor online and offline experiences for our consumers.

At L'Oréal, the commercial department embraces a wide range of activities: from purely analytical ones to more strategic ones, in close contact with the sales force. This is why quantitative and qualitative aspects are a fundamental combination for the harmony of this function, where rationality and emotional thinking enable excellent results, even in the digital age.

THE MISSION: WHAT AWAITS YOU?

The intern will be tasked with supporting one of the teams in the commercial area (e.g., Sales, Trade Marketing, Business Intelligence, Business Development), contributing to the growth of the brand in retail outlets and the assigned categories. Examples of activities you might carry out in the various functions include:

  • SALES: You will develop new commercial relationships and manage client relations. You will be able to recognize new opportunities and discover unmissable chances for the company to expand its scope of action across Italy:
  • Support for assortment analysis, promotional planning, category projects, and tracking of specific "product" events;
  • Net price monitoring: developing, in synergy with the Channel Director and Finance, a control model and potential planning per payer (client);
  • Building a communication flow (RACI) between Channel Director and Field Area Managers regarding routine updates.
  • BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE/BUSINESS ANALYST: You will be the strategic commercial driver who, by interpreting business performance, illuminates choices and transforms numbers into opportunities:
  • Analysis of sell-in, sell-out, and stock data to support the construction of channel, brand, and division strategies;
  • Construction of functional dashboards for monitoring division performance, ensuring data conciseness, usability, and quality;
  • Supporting the Commercial Directorate and National Account Managers in preparing proposals for major clients and monitoring their performance;
  • Providing support for the implementation of Business Intelligence and Digital Transformation projects.

This highly formative experience will allow you to engage with an international, constantly developing environment, and with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. You will be able to build a true professional career in Sales and, at the same time, come into contact with many other functions, growth opportunities, and career guidance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Economics/Management, Engineering, Finance, Data or similar;
  • Excellent analytical skills and computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint);
  • An entrepreneurial approach and the energy to carry out projects with agility, achieving challenging business objectives;
  • An international mind-set and excellent knowledge of English and Italian;
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, willingness to learn and grow.
