Job Summary

The Vacation Package Sales Assistant Manager works with popular local attractions such as malls or theme parks and attends events such as trade shows, festivals, and conferences to connect with the public as a brand ambassador for Travel + Leisure. This sales-based role engages in face-to-face conversations with prospective customers and sells Travel and Leisure Vacations. We offer exceptional vacation options to numerous locations including some of the most exciting cities and naturally beautiful locales across the country where travelers will attend our award-winning vacation ownership presentations. The Vacation Package Assistant Manager will assist the department manager in day to day operations and help Vacation Sales Agents do their jobs more effectively.

How You'll Shine 

  • Must be exemplary employee and embody our team's culture and purpose
  • Serve as a positive and professional brand ambassador for Travel and Leisure
  • Greet, present customers with a vacation package offer that includes a sales-preview tour
  • Screen and qualify potential customers based on company guidelines
  • Make vacation package sales and collect payment on site
  • Make vacation package sales and collect payment on site in accordance with all company policies, compliance standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining minimum performance goals (80%)
  • Attend all scheduled training sessions, department meetings, keep current on vacation package offers, information and materials, keep current on industry trends, and set and review performance goals weekly, monthly and annually. (10%)
  • Assist management with daily operations, assist team members with sales and administrative duties (10%)

  • Provide exceptional customer service (i.e. must be able to communicate in a positive and effective manner when dealing with upset owners)

  • Ability to negotiate effectively​
  • Working knowledge of marketing databases
  • Ability to recruit, train and develop employees
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Must be fluent in English
