Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a
Mechanical Engineer
that will join our Engineering & Construction team. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary design team in all phases of the projects, from the preliminary or concept design to execution.

You will also manage and integrate efforts across our international Arcadis Delivery Centers, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of project milestones while maintaining the highest quality standards. In addition, you will have direct communication with clients and suppliers, managing expectations and activities.

The ideal candidate has already previous experience working in multinational companies with diverse teams and expertise, in a BIM setting and with integrated design of building systems teams.

Role accountabilities:

  • Feasibility studies, preliminary, final and executive design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for civil and industrial buildings;
  • Sizing of air-conditioning, water, wastewater, and fire-fighting systems and infrastructure networks;
  • Project development in BIM on REVIT software;
  • Knowledge of technical legislation for ventilation systems (UNI and ASHRAE), plumbing and drainage, and energy consumption containment (Lombardy Region and national areas) ;
  • Knowledge of UNI and NFPA standards for sprinkler systems;
  • Coordination and organization of tasks and responsibilities of any external suppliers;
  • Drafting technical reports and project specifications, Legge 10 report and energy certifications;
  • Specialized construction management and mechanical systems start-up support;
  • Management of communication between Arcadis and external clients and suppliers;
  • Support in due diligence activities and technical appraisals;
  • Energy modeling using calculation software.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Around 5-7 years of working experience in similar roles including design and coordination of work teams;
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical, Construction or Civil Engineering;
  • An excellent level of English and Italian (at least B2);
  • An advanced level in the use of Software such as Revit, Autocad
  • A thorough knowledge of BIM methodology
  • Plus: Experience in sustainability certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL) and related implications in facility design
