Humanitas Research Hospital,
a highly specialised research and university hospital in Rozzano (Milan).
We are seeking for a highly motivated post-doc who wishes to advance her/his career in the field of cardiovascular biology. The successful candidate will be involved in the
AI-RITMIA
project, recently funded funded by the
European Commission
under the
EIC Pathfinder
programme.
AI-RITMIA
(AI-assisted peRsonalized heart-on-chIp as advanced diagnostic Tool for clinical significance assessMent of Inherited cArdiomyopathies) aims to develop a breakthrough AI-guided, patient-specific heart-on-chip platform to assess the pathogenicity of genetic variants in inherited cardiomyopathies. The project integrates
iPSC technology
,
CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing
,
advanced in vitro cardiac models
, and
AI-based data analysis
to bridge preclinical and clinical decision-making
Requirements
Candidates should hold a PhD in
Molecular/Cellular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering
, or related fields, possess demonstrated experience with
CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing approaches
and have strong
cell culture skills
. Background in the cardiac biology field, previous hands-on experience with human iPSC culture, cardiac differentiation and familiarity with cardiovascular disease modelling or functional assays will be particularly valuable. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong motivation, curiosity and passion for scientific research, to be proactive and able to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Good proficiency in English (especially scientific writing and oral communication skills) is also required.
