Electrical Designer

We are looking for an Electrical Designer, willing to join our Melt Shops Team, with a strong passion for technology and motivation to work within a multicultural and challenging environment.

You will work in an international environment characterized by high technology complexity; you will be involved in a path of growth and in professional training along with senior colleagues.

 You will be responsible for defining and designing the electrical part of industrial steel plants (Low and Automation).

You will take responsibility of the following activities:

Starting from P&I diagrams

• Define motors, sensors and equipment list
• Define I/O List
• Draw single-line diagram for low-voltage systems
• Support Automation department by drawing Automation Architecture
• Support process and mechanical designers with definition of necessary instrumentation
• Define Instrument datasheet
• Define and draw the position of the electrical equipment and main cable ways
• Prepare relevant cable list
• Follow the development of the detailed engineering of suppliers, verifying the completeness of the documentation and the correctness of electrical schematic diagrams
• Participate, if necessary, to inspections, test and meetings at suppliers site or customer site

Required profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical Engineer or Industrial expert high school diploma;
• At least 3 years of experience in designing industrial electrical systems;
• Able to understand and to modify P&I diagrams
• Able to understand electrical schematic diagrams for power supply (MCC) and automation system
• Basic Knowledge of Medium Voltage systems would be appreciated
• Good knowledge of AUTOCAD (2D), Office package (Excel, Word);
• Willingness to travel
• Good knowledge of English, written and spoken;
