BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Knowledge Management (KM) is a comprehensive process that helps an organization gain insight and understanding from its collective interpretations, ideas, and experiences through systematically locating, capturing, creating, sharing, applying and storing knowledge and knowledge materials. KM is critical for refining technical tools, policy guidance, organizational processes, and ultimately improving programme impact. KM also contributes to institutional memory and sustainably improving organization capacity.

Under the general direction of the Chief of Learning & Innovation, and directly  reporting to the Team lead of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning & Innovation for Nutrition (MERLIN), this assignment will be responsible for leading the management of the WFP nutrition Knowledge Management and resources, the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of KM tools, and contribute to the capture, tracking and dissemination of nutrition initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Nutrition Knowledge Management and Data Management Officer will be responsible for:

1.    Support the implementation of the Knowledge Management and Learning Action Plan, with a focus on platform management, the capture/tracking/dissemination of nutrition information, and M&E of tools.

•    Management of WFP nutrition KM-related platforms and relevant content, such as WFPgo, GoDocs, Communities, and

•    Ensure the availability and improve the accessibility of updated publications and other resources.

•    Development and implement a monitoring, review and evaluation plan for the performance of KM tools.

2.    Supervising consultant/interns to improve the learning infrastructure and data management practices for nutrition integration: 

•    Oversee the development of learning materials to strengthen staff capacity and technical knowledge.

•    Ensure the maintenance and improvement of digital platforms for knowledge sharing and staff development.

3.    Production and dissemination of nutrition reports and other resources:

•    Development new and update existing nutrition documents, factsheets, and other resources, as well as ensuring the availability of offerings in different UN languages.

•    Lead the dissemination of nutrition resources to WFP nutrition staff, using relevant KM channels.

•    Manage the standard operating procedures of knowledge management products, including those for their development, storage, dissemination channels and target audience.

4.    Management of nutrition programming data

•    Conduct analysis of annual nutrition reporting data and draft reports on annual performance of nutrition programming.

•    Support Annual Performance Reports (APR) and Annual Country Reports (ACR) by providing data analysis and direct support to Country Offices.

•    Manage data systems and work closely with the Supply Chain team to conduct analysis on nutrition adequacy.

•    Check data and ensure validity and appropriateness for reporting usage, as well as provide guidance with methodology for data collection and analysis.

•    Contribute to building M&E capacity of WFP staff through the provision of guidance and information sharing.

•    Ensure access to data for the Nutrition and Food Quality Service, and support requests for figures on nutrition programmes.

5.    Development of nutrition report: 

•    Create a brief overview of nutrition programming, including key interventions and operational learnings/lessons learned, as well as key figures on programme performance and reach.

•    Support the development and implementation of the new Corporate Results Framework (CRF), including training and capacity building for Country Offices to enhance data quality and reporting practices.

•    Support the development of dashboards and other forms of presentation for data visualization for the Nutrition and Food Quality Service.

•    Develop lessons learned from nutrition programming data analysis to inform and improve future programming and decision-making.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT (below are examples, deliverables will be adapted based on the finalization of the knowledge management):

The following deliverables will be expected:

•    Finalized Knowledge Management toolkit, with inclusion of standard for dissemination and KM   tools.

•    Updated nutrition internal and external pages.

•    Reporting for Nutrition in 2025/2026 including, factsheets, reports and interactive dashboards providing and overview of nutrition programming and nutrition annual key figures.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:    Masters degree in nutrition, nutrition science, community nutrition, or related field.

Experience:    Experience working in WFP with knowledge of WFP M&E and reporting systems. Experience in web-content design and familiarity with managing on-line platforms. Ability to effectively use Tableau to present WFP Nutrition Data.

Knowledge & Skills:  

 
•    Excellent writing, analytical and research skills.

•    Advance knowledge of Microsoft office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

•    Ability to process and develop innovative presentations appropriate for a range of audiences 

•    Experience working in WFP with knowledge of WFP M&E and reporting systems. 

•    Experience in web-content design and familiarity with managing on-line platforms. Ability to effectively use Tableau to present WFP Nutrition Data.
Languages:    Fluency in English and French required.
