Operations Controlling Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Operations Controlling Manager
to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial controlling activities for our operations in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing analyses for management purposes
  • Provision of management information and key operating cost data
  • Analysis and monitoring of operating costs
  • Regular reporting of cost results
  • Participation in the process of budgeting logistics costs
  • Analysing the budget execution, reporting deviations, identifying the causes of discrepancies, recommending solutions
  • Analytics and forecasting of quantitative and cost data
  • Building models supporting decision-making processes
  • Initiative in search of cost optimization opportunities, recommending solutions for business
  • Development and preparation of tools supporting the planning and reporting processes
  • Development of analytics and reporting
  • Automation and optimization of work with data
  • Participation in business projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Logistics or a related field; CIMA is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (management accounting, operational controlling, business analysis, FP&A)
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Practical knowledge of management accounting
  • Experience in building business models and automated reports
  • Ability to gather, summarize and articulate complex information for decision making
  • The ability to translate the results of conducted analyses into business recommendations
  • Strong can-do mentality and drive to accomplish tasks in an environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Attention to details and ability to identify issues or inconsistencies
  • Communication and collaboration skills
  • Higher education
  • Very good command of English (min B2)

Nice to have:

  • SQL and databases knowledge
  • Tools: VBA, Power BI, Python, Databricks
  • Experience in logistic / e-commerce business
